Bill Litz

Bill (TuneStruck’s original Lead and now Baritone) is the musical engine of the quartet. A Music Major from San Francisco State, he formed his first quartet, Gaslight Junction, during college — launching what would become a lifelong case of full-blown Barbershop Syndrome.

Over the years, Bill has shown classic symptoms of being TuneStruck: spontaneous tag singing, an inability to walk past a reflective surface without checking vowel shapes, and the tendency to turn everyday conversations into four-part arrangements.

Bill directs the Portsmen Chorus and has sung in several registered quartets, including Generation Blend and KaBLaM! (with his son Jordan) before settling into his long-running role with TuneStruck. Despite the condition, he has managed to serve as Chapter President and Board Member — proving that you can lead even while harmonically impaired.

Recognized as Stockton’s Barbershopper of the Year, Bill continues to spread the harmony bug wherever he goes. He’s currently enjoying life with his partner Sue, his three grown children, and three grandchildren — none of whom are safe from catching the TuneStruck bug.
