Bob (Tune Struck’s original Bass) found his way to Barbershop and both the Portsmen and Tune Struck via his friend and original Tune Struck Baritone, Steve Taylor.  They both were members of another service organization and while cooking at a fish fry talked about music and Steve twisted his arm to attend a Chapter meeting.

No stranger to music, having played keyboard in a garage band in High School, he had never sung Barbershop before.  Since then, he’s been a member of two chapters; Stockton and the California Delta Chapter in Sacramento.

Bob isn’t the administrative type, but has served as a Board Member ‘At-Large’ and the Bass Section Leader.  He has been a member of the NorCal-East Divisional Novice Quartet Champion twice (2005 & 2008).

He divides his barbershopping activities with the time he shares with his wife Melinda, their three grown children and their families (including his 2 grandchildren).
